Welcome to the Student Portal



 This self-service facility allows you to search for training related information and enrol online. Existing students of Challenger Institute can also access information on their enrolments, results and awards. Note: Students with an outstanding debt may not be able to access this information.

How to start using Challenger Institute's student portal?

Are you accepting a TAS Offer?

If you have received an offer of a full-time place from State Training Admissions (TAFE Admissions), you should mouse over "Self-Enrolment" at the top menu bar.

Select "Accept TAFE Admissions Offer" and enter your application number, gender, date of birth and postcode. Note: You should have your State Training Admissions offer letter handy before you begin (note: ensure that you enter the postcode you used when submitting your STA application).

If you need assistance, ring our Enrolment Call Centre on 1300 553 444 from 17-18 Jan 2012 between 9am - 3pm for Round 1 offers and from 9am - 3pm from 24-30 January 2012 (excluding weekends and public holiday) for Round 2 offers.

Note:
- Round 1 offers must be accepted by 3pm, Wednesday 18 January 2012.
- Round 2 offers must be accepted by 3pm, Monday January 2012.

Part time enrolments and other full-time (non-STA offers) will commence from 9am on 31 January 2012.

In person/campus enrolments will also be available at Challenger Institute of Technology from 9am-6pm on 31 January 2012 at most campus locations. Please ring us on 9239 8189 to find out more.

New students

New students may browse for courses in the Student Portal by selecting the "Future Training" menu at the top. When you are ready to enrol, you may select the "Self-Enrolment" link on the menu.

Note: You must submit an application for study via State Training Admissions before Friday 9 December 2011 to be considered for a Round 1 offer or before Friday 6 January 2012 for a Round 2 offer.  Offer of places are for Semester 1, 2012 study.

Interstate students: If you live in Australia but not in Western Australia and wish to study at Challenger Institute of Technology; please contact the Institute on (08) 9239 8189 for assistance with your enrolment process.  Higher course fees will apply to non-WA residents.

International students: Persons holding a temporary visa of sub-class 309, 310, 785, 820, 826 or secondary holders of a temporary visa of sub-class 457 will be treated as Australian residents for fee charging purposes and are also eligible for fee waivers and concessions. Proof of residency/ visa may be requested at time of enrolment.  International students holding other visas must apply through Education and Training International. 

Current students

Current students can view their results, view their study plan, update their student details or download an application for award or self-enrol to another course.

To log in, click on the [Login] link on the left of this screen. The Username is your Challenger Student ID number and your password is defaulted to your date of birth (you must have enrolled prior to logging yourself in as an existing student).

Enter your Institute ID number; which is 03 followed by your Challenger Student ID. It should be nine digits long. E.g: 031234567.

Note: Your Challenger Student ID can be found on a Challenger Statement of Academic Record or on a previous Confirmation of Enrolment or you may phone the Client Contact Centre on (08) 9239 8189 or 9239 8550 for login assistance.

Your default password will be your date of birth, entered in the following format without spaces - ddmmyyyy. For example; if your date of birth is 2 March 1988, your user ID will be your Student ID and your password is 02031988.

Students may enrol at Challenger on the following dates. You may self-enrol online using the student portal, through our enrolment call centre by phoning 1300 553 444 or enrol in person at one of our campus locations.

Part time & other non-TAS full time enrolments

* Students can continue to enrol in part-time units if places are available. Most study areas will accept new part-time enrolments up to week 2 of classes. Please speak to a lecturer in the study area if you are unsure of the units you need to enrol to.

Students enrolling with concessions: If you are self-enrolling online with a concession card, you will be able to confirm your enrolment in the student portal. However, you will be required to present a valid concession card to a Challenger Customer Service Centre within four (4) weeks from the date of your enrolment. Failure to do so within this timeframe will see your fees reverted back to the full fee amount.

If you are having difficulty logging into the Student portal or you just want to speak to someone about your enrolment, please contact the Client Contact Centre on 9239 8189.

Hours of operation for this service during term are:

Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30pm
We are closed on weekends and Public Holidays

You can check your login details with your lecturer, a student administration staff, library staff or a Customer Service Assistant who can reset your password and/or report any problems to the appropriate area in Challenger Institute. 

Your access to the student portal may have been disabled if you were a previous Challenger Institute student and have an outstanding enrolment debt. You will need to clear your debt before your account is re-activated. 

Please allow 24 hours to have your student account re-activated.
